Al brings over 40 years of fuel cell, hydrogen generation and related technology experience. As a consultant his clients have included the USDOE, USDOT, the Northeast Advanced Vehicle Consortium, the Breakthrough Technologies Institute, the Connecticut Clean Energy Fund, major fuel cell developers and manufacturers and users of fuel cells in vehicles and other service. He has been an invited lecturer in the use of fuel cells and hydrogen at the University of Hartford and Trinity College as well as at national and international symposia. He has served as a member of the Executive and Policy Committees of the U.S. Fuel Cell Council.

In Al’s 40 Plus years practicing fuel cell technology at United Technologies, he formulated, developed, and managed R&D programs, developed joint venture partnerships with major automotive manufacturers, developed new applications and markets for fuel cells, acquired funding for fuel cell R&D in the public and private sector and established UTC’s PEM Fuel Cell Transportation Group.

Al has been awarded numerous fuel cell patents and has published many papers in the field of fuel cell and hydrogen generation.
